Who does this...

STEVE CROTEAU

Smithed rail... Brooklyn Banks, Check Props issue 62 for the clip.

Garrett Reynolds

This ridiculous shot came off Garrett's myspace page. WTF was he thinking...?

Anyone who doesn't know Garrett, or who has never seen him ride is missing out without a doubt. This kid is out of control. Sean Burns and Dave Mirra rolled into one, seriously something is wrong with this dude... haha

HERE IT IS...

Well... I told you guys this was coming so heres the interview with Nick Ponterio that we promised.

How long have you worked for Nation?

I've worked at nation since day one . I usta work at circles bike and skate witch is what it was befor hand.

What brings you back?

I dont really know how it happend but i knew there was going to be a day when me an joe were gona be the only dudes at nation.Joe is an awsome person to work with, im psyched me and him are running the show. Mike was nice enouf to give me my job back and this time around its gonna be way better

What do you think you bring to the table running things at the shop?

I think i have alot to offer i always cared about that place more then anyone else. I call that place home, i hope to make it a big thing again. I know that ive cared about that place more then anyone. Even when i wasent working there i would clean the place. The sloppy shit that would go down in there is over. It got wild in there at times and it did nothing but destroy the place, but im not going to let it get like that agin.

Any plans for changes now that your back in the game?

I want to make alot of new shirts for the team. I want to make new stickers, if there is anything i love more then my bike its stickers. I plan to work on the blog alot and to make the shop have as many kids in it as i can. I also plan to order what you want, not just what i want. I know what kids want when they come into the shop looking for parts, so ordering stuff is something im going to put alot of time into. If kids are smart they will keep up with reading the blog because i plan to post alot of things where kids can win some free stuff like stickers shirts tubes and other things to come. I've bin cleaning up the shop lately, this week its a little messy im not gona name any names but i know why it looked the way it did.

What do you think the future for Nation BMX looks like?

I cant really say but i hope good, if mike is open to all the work i plan to put into it then it should be real good. I have such high hopes for that shop man so hopefully i can put my ideas out the way i want to.

Is Mike really as big a dick as everyone says he is?

hahah Anyone that would say that does not know who he is.
He is the only person i know that wasent all about making money, all he wants is for the shop to do good. Mike is one of my bestfriend and ive worked for him for a few years and i wouldnt change it for anything....thanks for everything mike

p.s
once this is posted if you come into the shop saying you saw this on the blog ... an spend more then $25 bucks ill hook you up with some stuff

WHAT I CONSIDER THE BMX'S COME UP OF 2007

Whats up its spam, I sat down for a minut after work today to talk to adam who is the owner of thecomeupbmx.net its a awsome site that is updated everyday and usualy more then once a day adam was nice enouf to take the time to answer a few questions that kids mite be wondering them selfs
ADAM WHAT MADE YOU START THE COME UP AND WHAT DIRECTION IS IT GOING TORDS :
I started The Come Up about a year ago because I noticed there were so many good videos being posted online and I wanted to make a place to post them so they would be saved and not just forgotten about. over time i got into posting news, photos, interviews etc. Pretty much just whatever I think kids are into. As far as where the site is going, I'm just trying to keep it going... I have new ideas every once in a while to expand the site, but it's all based around the same basic idea, just giving the kids what they want, because I think that most of the other BMX sites have huge flaws that make kids not even really want to check them. I could write a book about that.
I NOTICED YOU HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF SPONSORS FOR THE SITE HOWS THAT WORKING OUT ? :
Rich from Lotek first gave me the idea to do ads. I was about to go on vacation to Florida with my girlfriend and he IMed me right before I turned off my computer to leave letting me know that if I ever did advertisements that he would want Lotek to be on board. On vacation I had a lot of time to think about what I thought I could accomplish with the site, and I realized that I wasn't even close to using the site to it's full potential. When I got back I just started working really hard to get the site to where it is now. I'm really happy about all the sponsors, they are all companies I really respect. I wouldn't take an ad from a company I thought was lame because I feel like it would bring the stock of the entire site down. The money isn't worth that. I've got a few other brands getting on board soon too, I'm very excited about what the future is going to hold.
IM PSYCHED FOR YOU MAN GOOD JOB, NOW DOES THE COME UP HAVE A TEAM OR IS THAT SOMETHING YOU DONT WANT TO DO WITH THE SITE ? :
There isn't an official team, but hopefully as the clothing side of things gets more serious I can get a more official team going. If I could hook up some riders It would probably just be my friends who are sick... Steve-O, Mike Brennan, Blackman, Big James, Jake Seeley etc. I have a bunch of signature shirt designs for some of those riders that I'd like to get done eventually, that should be cool.
I KNOW THERE IS A SHIRT OUT ALREADY IS IT STILL OUT OR ARE YOU GOING TO JUST MAKE NEW ONES , IF SO WHERE CAN KIDS GET THEM? :
I have one long sleeve design done so far. I've got a couple of designs in mind that I should have done soon. They are going to be available from Dans Comp and hopefully at a couple of shops if I can work that out. Nation, Goods etc. There are so many good street riders out there that aren't getting money from riding... hopefully with the whole signature shirt thing, I can help some kids out.
OK ADAM THANKS FOR ANSWERING SOME QUESTIONS,ILL DO MY BEST TO MAKE SHURE THE COMEUP LINE IS IN NATION BMX. IS THERE ANYTHING UD LIKE TO ADD? :
Yeah I'd just like to send a shout out to my girlfriend Katie, she's awesome when she's not on her period. One love to all the street shredders and Spam for doing this interview and keeping it real with Nation. PEACE.

Team rider:Andrew Paino

Staten Islands Anrew Paino has bin riding alot and filming a tun of stuff mostly out at the park or in the streets everday with jamaican, steveo, and spam.Head over to paino myspace to see some of his videos. There sometimes posted on thecomeupbmx.net

SPRING IS HERE...

Spring is here!

Mad kids in the shop today.

Its time to get off your asses and ride.

-the nation

GUESS WHOS BACK...?

Yes, for those that haven't heard Nick Ponterio (SPAM) is back working at Nation BMX. This time around Spam will be running the game. He is pretty much incharge of most day to day operations along with Joe Synosky who has been with us for a couple years now. I will be posting a short interview with Spam in a few days just to give you guys a look into his take on Nation BMX and how he plans to improve the vibe and put the brakes on all the bullshit.

This move is just the start of many new things to be on the look out for this Spring at Nation BMX.

Gotta love it...
