More random news.
Heres our man Tony Hamlin busting a crankarmslide in Boston, MA. Photo is by Lino Gonzalez. Hes all over the new Dig Magazine and has a few clips in almost every section of the new props.
The picture of the double peg down the handrail would be our other dude Jared Washington, this was a federal ad months back. I honestly think this was the last cool thing hes done haha. Just kidding, his crews video is out and on sale at Nation dubbed "PuPu Platter". Hes also informed me hes in the new Chingy video? photo is by Rob Dolecki

Ben Hittle Fashion Tips
Heres a photo of Gary from Rye Airfield(not on a CJS trip). Its a double tailwhip sequence, even though the sequence sucks.
And for the people requesting Ben Hittle fashion tips, heres straight from the horses mouth:
"ok, well i went to target and bought some packs of white tees and thats all ive been wearing for the past two months, i still wear womens trousers, but i buy them in much larger sizes than i used to haha. Lately I've been getting into sneakers, so im usually in a fresh pair of nikes." Spam is leaving Illinois today at 5am to come home to NYC. Who the hell would wanna move from this amazing city?! NOT ME!
Flow Rider Spotlight:Nick Steben aka C Beef
Cbeefs Hematoma
Nation: Name, age, current location?
CBeef: Nick "c-beef" Steben, 19 years, going to school in long island, but im from west hartford, ct
Nation: How is it being from such a rich town? Where almost nobody rides BMX? What made you stick with it and keep progressing?
CBeef: its kinda bad in a way cuz alot of people bitch about riding. ive been honked at from blocks away by old people cuz i was riding in the road. there was like 2 or 3 kids who road trails and stuff in my town and some of my friends biked, but they stoped early on in high school but i keep on riding. it was just fun and i enjoyed it. landing new tricks are fun. i liked that feeling also people had no lives and just sat around, i liked being out and about riding
Nation: So instead of staying around your area, you opted to go to woodward every summer and hangout with friends and fellow BMXers? Right? Howmuch has woodward camp influenced your bike riding?
CBeef: yeah i liked going to woodward its fun, i met so many people there when i was younger and just keep keeping in touch with them and some of them are my closest friends now. back in ct there was only a prefab park near my house which was alright and a realy mellow hip bowl at another park. i like riding street in west hartford. lots of ledges which i liked alot. but there wasnt too much park or ramps near there. when i first went to woodward i didnt know how to ride ramps or parks. i couldnt even double peg. i learned the basics there lol. but i also learned lots of other stuff out of that place, i was siked to be at a place with other bmxers, kinda felt good. no homo
Nation: What do you like to ride now? Who do you enjoy riding with the most?
CBeef: i seriously like to ride everything. ramps, dirt and street. ill do anything as long as im having a good time. vert is even fun. everything feels good. i enjoy riding with you (stevo) bro. i ride with him alot cuz hes near me at school. everyone back in ct barcus, grat, fakie, buckler, dups sven. all the other kids i ride with alot villani wade garret augie . god the list is long. so many people are fun to ride with. potocznys for sure. pretty much everyone met over the years
Nation: How do you feel about being on nation? Do you think you fit the team well? And will your dad be giving us the Gas Card for Nation roadtrips?
CBeef: im siked as hell to be on nation and given that opportunity to ride for someone. being apart of a team with people i like to ride with. nation is awsome. some days just go and not ride but hang out there for hours watching videos and talking with people. i dont know if i fit the team well ? i guess i do cuz i got asked on it. lol. i like nation. everyone is friendly there. na i dont got that gas card anymore. i wish tho. gas card r.i.p 05-06
Nation: Damn, that gas card got us through some rough times. You recently went on a Shook Interactive roadtrip. How was that?
CBeef: hell yeah that gas card saved us. we went everywhere. just keep and eye out for them shells. the shook trip was fun as hell. i met a bunch of other riders who went on the trip that i never rode with before. marlyn, rah ralphie, jarrod allen, obaaa. i never rode with them befor and i really got to know them better.i like meeting new people. met a bunch of other dudes too from the places we staye at. chris naigbhors, chrs wilson, all the cincy kids. one person i met sucked tho..big time. just gona say IU. i was siked to be invited on the shook trip. too bad i suck and got a hematoma on my ass the first day. the bruse was gnarly.
Nation: Haha man that Hematoma was crazy...Anyway, any last words?
CBeef: yeah that hematoma was nuts. i couldnt sleep one night cuz i was in so much pain. i could blab on forever about random stores. but i wont. thanks for interviewing me, you were my first! and also thanks for warning me about the "almost car accidents" that i would of gotten in if u wernt there to save me. nation bmx rules. hollar

Flow Rider Spotlight:Tom Lavorgna
Nation: Whats your full name, age, and current location?
Tom: Tom Lavorgna, 18, Thomason CT
Nation: Youre from a small town, is it hard to find motivation to ride around your area?
Tom: yea, most of my friends i ride with are from diffrent towns or states so its usually just me riding at like 1 in the morning
Nation: damn, thats rough, ive been to your town too, not much to ride, how do you deal with that? and how do you keep progressing
Tom: i make the best of what i have, theres one rail in my town and its only 4 steps and a mellow bank and some manuel pads i ride everyday and try and learn new things with what i got
Nation: Ive known you since you skated, shit you pregressed quickly, whats your motivation? Anyone that gets you pumped to learn new things? Any pros in particular you look up to?
Tom: when i skated all my friends were bike riders so it was a given i would turn over to bmx bikes, my motivation is to just learn new things on my bike its the best feeling, all my friends get me pumped to learn new things, van homan is probably someone i look up to the most
Nation: Do you feel you fit into the Nation BMX team? Do you think you deserved your place on it?
Tom: i think i fit in pretty well, alot of diffrent kind of riders, all so good, i dont think its up to me to decide if i deserved my place but im psyced to be chosen as part of the team
Nation: Well, any last words?
Tom: just be yourself and support NATION! bmx

Who is Nation BMX
Hey,
Just thought I'd give some insight as to who runs the show around here, how we came to be, and what we stand for.
Nation BMX was started by Mike Strollo (me), back in 2001 as a mail-order side project to bring bmx product to the masses beyond Central Jersey. At the time I also owned Circles Bike & Skate and when we made the move from Red Bank NJ to Sayreville, NJ we decided to drop the Skateboarding end of our business out of respect to the area Skateshops who had been keeping the Skate scene rockin' in the Sayreville area for a long time... it only seemed like the right thing to do. So, once we discontinued the skate section of the shop Nation BMX just kinda fell into place as the new name for the shop as well as the mail-order site.
My wife and I have owned this business for the last 6 years and have no plans of ever ending it. I have met amazing people, seen some sick ass riding, and made a lot of life long friends all because of Nation BMX.
The whole idea of the shop from the beginning was and still is to bring the highest quality product from the most respected names in the industry to our customers at the best price possible.
I started bmx racing back in about 1981. Freestyle and street riding weren't really even though of yet. I remember the first time I saw the Hutch Freestyle Team, I was like what the fuck...? Sooo crazy.
Anyway I kinda slipped outta BMX for a while in the late 80's and really got into Skateboarding. There was a whole rebellion goin on back then that I loved. The music, the style, and the freedom to do whatever you want with a skateboard. It was good times, no doubt.
Anyway... fast forward quite a few years and I started to watching props early issues and really started to feel for BMX and started riding again. I then wanted to bring that feeling of walking into a dialed skate or bmx shop and seeing all the latest stuff to kids who never experienced that before. But MOST importantly, I didn't want kids felling unwelcome, or unappreciated ever. We still stand by that today... Full respect to every customer, ALWAYS.
And now for some random pics of me and my son Damien.
just chillin'
what a ripper... haha
drums, bass, keyboards, vocals... i like making music
my 4 year old son... the infamous "nation kid"
If you read this far... MUCH RESPECT, AND THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
Oh, and to anyone trying to make profit off BMX when you have zero ties to the sport and no care to give back to the industry... FUCK OFF!!!
